Birding/Nature: Tumacacori's Fireflies by Denise LeCount-O'Brien Sometime in August

Cost:  Free but you must register to attend and have a National Park Pass or ride with someone who does (limit 4 per vehicle).  This will be a short-notice field trip.  When registered, you will be contacted with the date and time to be at the Photography Club for departure. 

Denise LeCount-O’Brien has set up a trip to Tumacácori in August for the Firefly display.  If certain environmental factors align, the fireflies will blink in unison. There are very few locations in the United State where this amazing display occurs, and we are very fortunate that Tumacácori is one of them!  Denise has been in touch with the Park Rangers and will be kept apprised when this occurrence will happen.  This means that it will be one of those short-notice announcements. Watch for the notification and announcement which could be any time after August 1st.

All participants need to be responsible for an assessment of their mobility and health issues relating to field trips. Some trips may not be appropriate, but you must make that determination. However, the trip leader may deny participation in a specific field trip to anyone deemed not suitably prepared or able to walk with the group.

The club strives to provide several field trips specifically designed for members with physical limitations. 

In order to participate in this event, you must be a member of the GVR Photography Club and GVR.
