Build your own Personal Website the “Easy Way”
Do you have trips, events, photos you would like to share but haven’t found the right way yet? Or do you belong to a club or organization that would like a website? Join this class and learn how to design your Personal Website using the free Weebly, drag-and-drop, and web-based site builder. PC or Mac, makes no difference. Example: www.PitzerAdventures.com
Class One will cover the basics from setting up an account, choosing a domain name, pre-planning your content, and organizing the information and pictures you want to include. Then we will go over choosing and editing a theme template, setting up pages, the elements you can put on pages (including titles, text, slide shows, photo galleries, and many more). Finally when you are ready, learn how to Publish your site so others can view it on their web browser.
Class Two will cover how to include files and documents and how each will look on a mobile device. We will create a Blog to which you can post more current news. It can include text, photos and slide shows. Then we will cover more detailed information about adding descriptions and key words to your pages to make them more searchable. There will also be question and trouble shooting time.
