Bird/Nature Photography: Tumacacori/Santa Gertrudis Lane 12/07/21

There are many excellent birding and nature photography opportunities nearby these locations. Santa Gertrudis Lane is an excellent spot to see berry eating birds as well as view birds bathing in the Santa Cruz River.

This trip will be led by bird and nature expert, Sandy McMahan, who is a long-time teacher and trip leader. Whether you're an expert birder/photographer or a beginner, you will enjoy Sandy's narratives. If you have binoculars, you may want to bring them along. A small notebook and pen or pencil would be useful to record your sightings.

Bring a lunch or have lunch on your own and be sure to wear comfortable clothes and shoes. A hat and water are suggested.

Meet at the Camera Club at 8:30 AM for carpooling. If you don't feel comfortable carpooling, you can drive yourself. We will leave at 8:45AM.

GVR is requiring that every person participating in club's field trips sign a waiver absolving GVR of any liability. You will be required to sign the waiver at the Camera Club before the trip departs.

Notice:

All participants need to be responsible for an assessment of their mobility and health issues relating to field trips. Some trips may not be appropriate, but you must make that determination. However, the trip leader may deny participation in a specific field trip to anyone deemed not suitably prepared or able to walk with the group.

The club strives to provide several field trips specifically designed for members with physical limitations.

In order to participate in this event, you must be a member of the GVR Camera Club and GVR.
