Tucson Windows and Doors Walking Tour 3/23/2023
Cost - FREE!!
You will be exploring the area on either side of the Tucson Convention Center. This is a favorite area for both artists and photographers.
This is a walking tour of several blocks. It is suggested that you bring water and wear comfortable shoes and a hat if needed. Please wear your GV Camera Club badge if you have one.
After our photography adventure we will have lunch which will be at your expense. Please let the leader know if you will not be joining the group for lunch.
Meet at the Photography Club at 8:30 AM, and depart at 8:45 AM. Expected return time of 3:30 is approximate. $10.00 is an appropriate amount to split between those carpooling, for the driver.
GVR is requiring that every person participating in club's field trips sign a waiver absolving GVR of any liability. You will be required to sign the waiver at the Photography Club before the trip departs.
Wally Watson will be the trip leader. All trips will include history of the area and sometimes we are lucky to be invited into one of the homes by the owner. This area is the oldest area in Tucson when all of the houses were built with two foot thick adobe bricks...most have now been updated but have kept the thick adobe for a portion of the home. The area is approximately eight blocks by eight blocks in southern Tucson. For questions call Wally at 303-902-5972.
If you need to cancel please contact the Field Trip Coordinator, Lynn Rozema at lrozema51@gmail.com or call 719-351-5193. We may have people on the waiting list to take your place.
Last day to cancel registration is March 16, 2023.
Notice:
All participants need to be responsible for an assessment of their mobility and health issues relating to field trips. Some trips may not be appropriate, but you must make that determination. However, the trip leader may deny participation in a specific field trip to anyone deemed not suitably prepared or able to walk with the group.
The club strives to provide several field trips specifically designed for members with physical limitations.
In order to participate in this event, you must be a member of the GVR Photography Club and GVR.
