    About Google Photos

Google Photos is a cloud-based service that runs on multiple platforms, primarily via dedicated apps for Android and iOS (iPhone/iPad) devices, and through a web browser on desktop computers. It requires a Google account to store, sync, and back up photos and videos across all connected devices.

    Key Platforms and Features:

    * Mobile Apps (Android & iOS): The primary way to access, edit, and back up photos from smartphones and tablets.

    * Web Version: Accessible at photos.google.com for browsing, managing, and uploading from any desktop browser.

    * Desktop App: Available to automatically back up photos from computers to the cloud.

    * Infrastructure: As a cloud service, it relies on Google's cloud storage infrastructure, providing 15GB of free shared storage for photos, Gmail, and Drive.

    * Cross-Platform Sync: Photos uploaded from one device (e.g., an iPhone) are instantly accessible on others (e.g., a web browser or Android tablet).

    * System Requirements: The mobile app requires modern OS versions (e.g., iOS 18.0 or later for Apple devices).
